Top 5 Makeup Items of '19

This year, I really went back to basics for makeup. I simplified my routine, got rid of a lot of old stuff and looked to products that I could truly get a lot of use out of. Here’s my top 5 products & why I love them.

  1. Tartlette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette

This truly is the “basic” eyeshadow palette you need in your life. Its the one I grab for an everyday, easy eye, but has enough options that it’s what I take with me on vacation for all the eye looks I want. The colors are suuuper pigmented and it lasts forever. I’ve had mine almost a year and it looks like I haven’t made a dent in it.

  2. Clarins Supra Volume Mascara

I have tried probably 50+ mascaras over the past few years and none come close to this. You could put on 5 coats and it wouldn’t get clumpy. It gives lashes that fluttery look that you see with falsies. Although it’s expensive, this tube does last longer than most. Towards the end of it, I add a few drops of eye solution and it gives me another 2 weeks or so of use.

  3. Tacha Silk Canvas Protective Primer

Want skin like butter? BAM look no further. This primer does a great job of filing in pores and lets your foundation glide on smoothly. Also expensive, also lasts forever. I use less than a pea size amount for my whole face.

  4. Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder

I feel like bronzers are hard because it’s such a fine line to walk between orange and ruddy. My biggest fear is an orange face or one that looks dirty. The beauty of this bronzer is it works for me when my skin is pale in the winter and tanned during the summer. Easy to keep toned down or build on.

  5. Buxom Full On Plumping Lip Cream Gloss

I literally have 10 shades of this. it’s the perfect way to add color and shine without looking overdone or gummy. They last forever on your lips and feel minty. Sometimes I feel like lipsticks or liquid lipsticks are high-maintenance & that’s why I love this product. It’s easy and looks like you tried harder than you did!
