Favorite Purchases- 2019

2019 was the first year I had to start incorporating “business casual” into my wardrobe. Unintentionally, I started building what somewhat resembled a capsule wardrobe. I looked to functionality and colors that paired well with other things I previous had. I also started moving away from “trendy” and more towards “staples”. Heres my most worn/used items from 2019 and why I love them.

  1. Madewell Abroad Shoulder Bag

For the first time ever, I downsized. I always carried a massive bucket purse that rivaled that of Mary Poppins. I wanted something a little more mobile and lightweight so I went with this bag. Surprisingly, I can still fit a lot in it, but its a lot more functional in terms of size. I’m also super hard on bags and this one has taken every beating I’ve given it without letting the world know. Comes in lots of colors and gives you the option to monogram (my favorite part). This was my very favorite purchase this year.

  2. Vince Camuto Knee High Boots

I bought these bad boys during the Nordstrom sale and they’re my most worn shoe. They’re nice enough that you can wear them to work but also are an easy way to spruce up a date night outfit. They make your legs look a mile long and are actually comfortable. I went up a half size so I could wear thicker socks.

  3. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings

100% worth the hype. Comfy like leggings but actually makes you look like you tried. They don’t have a seam in the crotch so you never have to worry about camel toe either. I recommend going one size up.

  4. Huggie Hoop Earrings

Also got these during the Nordstrom sale but they’re affordable even at full price. I have them in silver but they also come in gold. I have super sensitive ears but have had no problems with these. The little hoop ads somethings extra to any outfit but they’re very understated, which is what I love.

  5. High Waisted Distressed Jeans

I tried the Levi jeans everyone talks about but those just aren’t meant for girls with hips :/ I love these Old Navy jeans because they give that effortless, distressed mom jean look but still actually fit your body. Very stretchy and super comfy. Run true to size!
